Apple cider vinegar has recently come up as one of the healthiest ways to detox many health problems including coughs, so it has become uncontested as one of the healthiest solutions for your body, and people even use it for teeth health. However, the truth is that apple cider vinegar is actually harmful for your teeth.
The acidity of apple cider vinegar is very high due to the low pH. This can harm the teeth enamel (the protective layer of your teeth) and essentially erode it, increasing problems with sensitivity of the teeth and darkening teeth. If you must consume apple cider vinegar, make sure you wait to brush your teeth at least 30 minutes after to give time for your saliva will act as a buffer to the acidity. Also, it is recommended to mix the apple cider vinegar with water to balance the acidity of it and lower the strong concentration.
